Is white lie better than truth

We all come across many situations in life.. when we face this eternally tormenting question.. should I say the truth or a white lie? The truth can be stark, dark, startling, shocking, bitter, unsettling, disappointing, frustrating, unnerving. But it can be beautiful, innocent, comforting.. the most tricky part is.. it can cast a good impact on a person saying it and a negative one on the one receiving it.. and what’s truth finally.. everyone has their own version of what they believe to be true. What’s a white lie then? It’s a carefully manipulated, well framed n well vocabularised piece of communities that layers the nature of truth.. and reduces its impact. Situations which we all find ourselves ain’t straightforward either. Do we put ourselves in those situations or we are just innocent bystanders of our own emotions is a matter of another debate. But one wonders who should one side with.. the truth or a white lie..? One doesn’t know who wins in this conflict.. but one thing for sure it batters the individual.
